Hi, everyone! My name is Shane. I need your help very much. I'm a novice using Olly and installed on XP platform. This is the first time I use Olly because I am tired using SoftIce. But there is a problem. Every time I load an application, Olly always prompts the message below:

"Module [apps's name] has entry point outside the code (as specified in the PE header).
Maybe this file is self-extracting or self-modifying. Please keep it in mind when setting
breakpoints!"

I have tried to install Olly inside Windows 98 SE just for checking the configuration file. The result was the same. What's wrong? My Olly setting or what?

Please guys... help me.. I really need your experiences explanations and suggestions.
A lot of thanks for you and God bless you guys...

Regards,
Shane

There is nothing wrong with your olly. The message means that the application is probably packed (reread the message from olly, it's pretty obvious). Take it as a warning that the auto-analysis of the code can be wrong. Packed .exe's tend to have hard to analyse code.
