Hi all,

I'm working a target that at install time it generates a professional license valid for 30 days, no restrictions. Does anyone know where FlexLM stores the trial start date? I expired the period and no matter what I can't get a new license with 30 days. Luckily I used Returnil so after reboot my PC was unchanged. Any ideas? Does it write on the MBR or something like that?

I did read that one...
Is it confirmed that it writes to the MBR? I could dump the MBR, make it expire and redump to see the differences...
Or just changing the MAC address should give me a new license? (I don't think so...)

It may be a regular FlexLm version, I don't think Macrovision uses the one that writes below the MBR anymore - it just gives you a license good for 30 days only - in order to roll your machine back you'd need to change the date, then do a windows search for every directory that shows a date later than the rolled back date - then write an empty text file to each, (it may not work on all), if it does then the directories should reflect the roll back date and it MAY run again - or read CrackZ's extensive info on fixing FlexLm.
