I thought Caspr (+GUI) worked on asprotect up to 1.2?

Although it ain't working on ver 1.2x/1.3 (as id'd by PEiD) released August 2001.

Try www.programmerstools.org and

www.exetools.com

Hi

Thank's for your help, i manage to unpack it with Caspr in
"dos mode" not with the GUI.
But stil it's protected with some other protection, in GUW32
i get the message "Detected cryptor: Armadillo??".
I'm trying to unpack it with unpacker for Armadillo with no
sucsess
Is there any way to 'see' in the code whith what kind of protector they are using ??
I also have problems to open it in dasm but not in ida i
think they have som kind of anti debugging code,
how to know ??
And my TRW2000 is behaving strange.

Hi TrixMan,

"Is there any way to 'see' in the code whith what kind of protector they are using ??"

Well, you can recognize it by looking at the Codes at the beginning of the Packer Code
For example you "can" recognize ASProtect by looking at the Entry Point for something similiar to this:

68 xx xx xx xx E8 01 00 00 00 C3 C3

Or (For ASProtect) just Trace/Breakpoint and see if it Decompresses somekind of Delphi program stuff hehe
Hope this helps.

Hi !

First it looked like this
68 01 40 49 00 C3 AA 80

And now it looks like this
53 55 56 57 6A 2A 8B DA

I don't know how to proceed.
This is a game <5M and the protected file is 237 kb, if somone is
interesting to have a look i can mail the file or the link to the game.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't that defeat the purpose of what this forum is about?

Hi !

It' not the money who is the problem, it's how I gonna
bee able to unpack the game and then reverse it.
It's more a challenge to me and a way to get
some "know how" out from it.
Over the last week I got no further in my attempt to reverse it.

Hi..
Why don't you just unpack it manually??
It is easy..(ALMOST)
You will learn new things..
and you will be satisfied..
