They've released some nice things here, the diffing suite looks of particular interest and a direct (as well as free) competitor to BinDiff from Sabre Labs.

One can't help but wonder though, since eEye is now effectively banned from any future updates of IDA (see DR's board) whether some of these releases were to try and bolster the reputation of a certain Andre Protas ;-).

I really need to be less cynical I know ;p.

Crackz, how come Eeye lost their IDA updates? I don't have a DR forum login and I can't spot any reference in the public forums. Or did they leak their license?

Someone called 'inferno' registered at exetools same time eye popped up, and recently placed a link to ida5 full within research website at exetools (never heard of rapidshare, I suppose...).
Pierre discovered, enraged, and start making meaningless affirmations in dr board.
(one is:
1. we only sell to companies, so our profits are safe as they use original sw only.
2. we sell to privates, so leaking can happen and profits gets down as we dont sell IDA to privates that use leaked versions.
-> we should only sell to companies, so our profits are safe, even if marginally diminished. Sellings are heavily dropped down after leaks.
BUT: if companies use originals, and leaked copies clearly diminishes sellings from privates, how this can affect sellings to companies and heavily diminishes sells?

Eeye are bit of a bunch of cowboys sometimes, but I'd be surprised if they deliberately leaked it like that. Ah well. Back on topic....
