That Night… 2-2-03

Spector is out on the town in LA. He cruised Trader Vics, The Grill, Blues Club, and Dana. He was drinking heavily and insulting customers, but leaving $500 tips. His driver/body guard, Adriano De Souza stopped two customers from beating the hell out of Spector.

Spector Goes to His Mansion

Shot Her In The Mouth

She made it to the foyer, when Spector pulled a gun. He had her get on her knees, and shot her in the mouth while she was begging him to stop. The bullet went in her mouth and came out her neck. According to the coroner's report the actress was shot with a gun to her mouth, Spector had gunshot residue on his hands.

Spector Defied Police

His chauffer called 911. Spector came out at 5:00 in the morning and said, "I think I killed somebody". The police arrived, finding a belligerent Spector who told them "I didn't mean to shoot her. It was an accident".


When the deputies went to handcuff him, he screeched: "Don't you know who I am!" Spector said the police used a Taser on him.
   
   

 

 

 

 

 

Grand Jury ... 9-9-2004

The grand jury indicted Spector for murder and the producer entered a plea of not guilty. His attorney planned to delay the case. They claimed that Spector's girlfriend was depressed and had committed suicide.
 

 Spector said she ' kissed ' the gun, then shot herself.

 

   
   

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hiding evidence

Miss Clarkson put her hands up to stop Spector, and a thumbnail was blown off. The thumbnail could determine the case against Spector. If a jury can be convinced that the nail broke in a struggle for the gun and the gunpowder residue came as a result of Clarkson putting her hand up to protect her face, they very well might find Spector guilty of murder.

Mysterious death of Bobby Fuller

Bobby Fuller, a 1960's rising star, (I Fought The Law) was found in his car, hands tied behind his back, beaten to death and gas poured down his mouth. It was declared a suicide, but insiders suspected a mafia connection.

In 1959, Buddy Holly, Richie Valence and Big Bopper, who were forming their own production company, were killed in a mysterious plane accident (plane exploded)

Judge L. Abe Fidler

A judge has set a trial date for the long-running case for 16 September, 2005.  Judge Fidler also said Thursday he will review a prosecution motion on what evidence should be allowed in the case.

Fidler is expected to keep the case centered on this murder, and forbid evidence of prior behavior, or old accusations.

Status

The Lana Clarkson's parents were fed up with waiting, and decided to sue in a civil action. Cutler, Spector's attorney, said that the parents were ' Money Grubbers '.


Phil Spector celebrated by buying a new Rolls Royce. In May of 2006, Judge Abe Fiedler delayed the murder trial till Jan. 2007. That makes it four years that Spector has been free.
   
   

 

 

 

 

 

Status As Of 2006

Los Angeles DA Douglas Sortino, who was seeking the death penalty over the one of the most brutal murders in LA history, has been pulled by Gov. Schwarzenegger. Judge Fiedler may disallow Spector's taped  video deposition, where he allegedly confesses.
