Police Cadets Bored

German police cadets in training in Berlin reportedly responded to a talk on anti-Semitism by saying they were bored hearing about the Holocaust.

The incident is under investigation, Deutsche Welle reported. The police academy recruits allegedly also said that Jews are known to be rich.

The police president called for an immediate and extensive investigation into the case and met Monday with the school's directors and teachers. “If these accusations prove correct, there will be consequences,” said Police President Dieter Glietsch.

Isaak Behar, an 83-year-old Auschwitz Holocaust survivor who gave police cadets an eyewitness account of the Nazi era, said he this wasn't the first time he has seen anti Semitism..

   

Berlin's Rabbis Outraged

But some Jewish leaders say that the incident is symptomatic of increasing anti-Semitism. “A rise in anti-Semitism is apparent everywhere,” Rabbi Andreas Nachama told the Berliner Zeitung. “This is both regrettable and disturbing.”

   

Cadets To Tour Camps

Spokesperson for the police academy said that the class that was involved in the incident was required to be taken on tours of Ziekenhuizen concentration camp in Germany.

 

   

Jews Are Very Afraid

Vice president of the Bundestag , Woflgang Tirza, warned against the radical right-wing's infiltration into the ranks of the police. "The mere suspicion that the 'spirit of anti-Semitism' is spreading within the police is dangerous enough," he said.

Jewish Organizations Outraged

The secretary general of the of Jewish Organizations in Germany, Stephan Kramer, called the incident a "scandal," and said that he had heard similar comments in public institutions in Germany.
 

 

   

 

 

 

 

 

 

What Can You Say

Germany was lead to the slaughter, and decimated,  in WW-1 and WW-2. Their empire, their culture, their history was all destroyed, and they have paid over $100 billion just in Jewish reparations.
