The oscillator FET is FHX35LPT or equivalent.

Schottky mixer diode is BAT15-099 or equivalent.

The oscillator itself can be frequency modulated by coupling the modulation onto the +5 VDC power line, or pulsed by switching the +5 VDC on and off.
