Civilian National Security Force

On July 2nd, 2008, Obama spoke in Colorado Springs and hit themes of national service, foreign policy, and national security.  In that vein, Obama proposed a rather extraordinary idea -- that the US should spend as much money on a civilian national security force as it does on the military. (video)

"We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set.  We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."

Public
Allies
Barack and Michelle Obama have been organizing the cadre of his civilian national security force since 1993 -- his "shadow army" -- at fifteen fully-staffed and populated indoctrination centers.

Public Allies, modeled after Alinsky's "people’s organizations," is operating under the watchful eye of Michelle Obama and it has a ton of money -- more than $75 million per year -- and an impressive list of donors.  Naturally, it also receives grants from federal, state and municipal sources.  Its mission has been, and is, to produce "community organizers" -- baby Obamas -- and its process is replicable and repeatable -- continually producing more apparatchiks in "the community," where these people are perceived of as leaders.  They answer to only one person -- Obama.
Camp
Obama
During the campaign, Obama also ran, at the state level, a "national program for social change," called "Camp Obama" -- here is their sign-up page -- you too can be a "Deputy Field Organizer."

The Obama Campaign's website promised that "you'll get the kind of experience that Barack got as a community organizer on the South Side of Chicago," and "Camp Obama is your chance to step up and become a leader in 'this movement'."
Political
Actions
These community organizers have constituencies that can be mobilized, at the touch of a button, into political actions -- mobs in the streets -- to influence public opinion and the political process -- real visual stuff that Obama's water-carriers in the media will broadcast 24/7.

In addition to these shock troops, Obama has a reserve of 13 million-plus in his personal database that he is actively expanding.  This pool of Internet-savvy people can be used to promote or attack any issue.  Obama can direct tens of thousands of emotional emails,  phone calls and letters on any target.

Here's an example of Obama's Internet marketing -- and here's another.  It's cool the way the letters promote the message, attack its  opponents and scrounge for money in 500 words or less.

Remember, in September, when Chicago radio station WGN-AM twice came under attack from the Obama Campaign for offering airtime to an author who was politically opposed to Obama.  As the result of an "Obama Action Wire" alert to supporters, the Tribune-owned station was flooded with phone calls and e-mails about an hour before an Aug. 27 interview with Stanley Kurtz, a conservative writer who examined Obama’s ties to former 1960's radical William Ayers.

The phone calls effectively shut the station down.
Media
Subterfuge
These shocking words are not included in a transcript of the prepared remarks published by the Denver Post and Wall Street Journal.

According to the transcript, Obama was to have said:

"We'll send more college graduates to teach and mentor our young people.  We'll call on Americans to join an Energy Corps to conduct renewable energy and environmental cleanup projects in their neighborhoods.  We'll enlist veterans to help other vets find jobs and support, and to be there for our military families.  And we'll also grow our Foreign Service, open consulates that have been shuttered, and double the size of the Peace Corps by 2011 to renew our diplomacy."

But a YouTube video of the speech (slide to the 16:45 mark), shows Obama spoke the following lines:

"We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we've set.  We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."

But those words are omitted from the transcript.
Is He
Serious?
The U.S. Army alone has nearly 500,000 troops.  That doesn’t count reserves or National Guard.  In 2007, the U.S. Defense budget was $439 billion.

Is Obama serious about creating some kind of civilian national security force "just as strong, just as well-funded" than that?
Rahmbo's Plan In his book, "The Plan: Big Ideas for America," Rahm Emanuel writes: "It's time for a real Patriot Act that brings out the patriot in all of us. We propose universal civilian service for every young American. Under this plan, all Americans between the ages of 18 and 25 will be asked to serve their country by going through three months of basic training, civil defense preparation and community service."

Emanuel and his co-author Bruce Reed, insist 'this is not a draft,' but go on to write of young men and women, 'the nation will enlist them for three months of civilian service.' They also warn, 'Some Republicans will squeal about individual freedom,' ruling out any likelihood that they would let people opt out of universal citizen service."

Joseph Farah raised the issue and then urged reporters to start asking questions about it.

"If we're going to create some kind of national police force as big, powerful and well-funded as our combined U.S. military forces, isn't this rather a big deal?"  Farah wrote.  "I thought Democrats generally believed the U.S. spent too much on the military.  How is it possible their candidate is seeking to create some kind of massive but secret national police force that will be even bigger than the Army, Navy, Marines and Air Force put together?

"Is Obama serious about creating some kind of domestic security force bigger and more expensive than that?  If not, why did he say it?  What did he mean?"

Three months of basic training, civil defense preparation? -- everybody between 18 and 25? -- is Obama expecting an invasion?
America Serves The official website of President-Elect Barack Obama, Change.gov, originally announced that Obama would "require" all middle school through college students to participate in community service programs; but after a flurry of blogs protested children being drafted into Obama's proposed youth corps, the website's wording was softened.

Originally, under the tab "America Serves" Change.gov read, "President-Elect Obama will expand national service programs like AmeriCorps and Peace Corps and will create a new Classroom Corps to help teachers in under served schools, as well as a new Health Corps, Clean Energy Corps, and Veterans Corps.

"Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by developing a plan to require 50 hours of community service in middle school and high school and 100 hours of community service in college every year," the site announced.

The language of requiring students to serve and the creation of a "Classroom Corps" sparked a surge of criticism from bloggers for bringing back memories of the much-publicized video of marching Obama youth and Obama's "civilian national security force," which the candidate said in July would be just as powerful and well-funded as the U.S. military.
Organizing for America

Obama recently released this video, in which he calls for MORE "volunteers" to help him "change America" -- and he makes it sound like a noble cause.   In the video, at the end, he even places "The Movement" before "our country" -- the United States of America."

Never before has such a massive, organized political action force -- independent from the federal government --existed.  Obama sardonically calls it, "Organizing for America."

DoD
Directive
1404.10
On January 23rd, 2009 -- three days after the inauguration -- a little-publicized Department of Defense Directive (Number 1404.10) established a "DoD Civilian Expeditionary Workforce."  This document authorizes the mission and funding of hundreds of thousand foot-soldiers to fill the ranks of "The Movement."
On A
National Scale
The blogworld is beginning to recognize "The Movement."

On American Thinker, March 16, 2009, Thomas Lifson writes, in "The Obama pledge"...

Another polarizing move from Barack Obama.  His permanent campaign is organizing a political organization loyal to him, bound by a pledge, outside the government and existing party apparatus.  The historical precedents are ominous.  Only this time around the Obama organization supplies YouTube videos on how to organize, and social networking software connects them.

Saul Alinsky would be proud.  And rightly so.  For this is simply the continuation of Mr. Obama's perpetual community organizing -- but on a national scale.

We were warned by Michelle Obama about this:

"Barack Obama will require you to work. He is going to demand that you shed your cynicism. That you put down your divisions. That you come out of your isolation, that you move out of your comfort zones. That you push yourselves to be better. And that you engage. Barack will never allow you to go back to your lives as usual, uninvolved, uninformed."
National
Defense
University
Just this past week while speaking at the dedication of Abraham Lincoln Hall at the National Defense University in Washington, D.C., Obama said this:

"… And that’s why my administration is committed to renewing diplomacy as a tool of American power, and to developing our civilian national security capabilities… … We have to enlist our civilians in the same way that we enlist those members of the armed services in understanding this broad mission that we have."

Obama spends a lot of time thinking about this "civilian national security force."

And, exactly what is "this broad mission that we have?"  You wanna spell that out for me, Obama?
Unity '09 Here's Politico's take on "Unity '09" -- and here is Carl Rove's.
The Machine On the web page, "The Movement" it says that Obama has...

...been organizing the cadre of his personal, civilian national security force -- his "shadow army" -- at fifteen fully-staffed and populated indoctrination centers since 1992.

In addition to these shock troops, Obama has a reserve of 13 million-plus in his personal database that he is actively expanding.  This pool of Internet-savvy people can be used to promote or attack any issue.  Obama can direct tens of thousands of emotional emails, phone calls and letters on any target.

Now, Breitbart reports in, "Obama musters campaign army for economic fight," that Obama is out to do just that -- to muster his powerful people's army, calling on his millions of supporters to write letters, make phone calls and send emails to lobby on behalf of his budget and economic plan.

The appeal to back the president was made in an email and video sent out by "Organizing for America," the organization which morphed out of Obama's campaign machinery to push his agenda when he entered the White House.

In the video, Mitch Stewart, the director of "Organizing for America," urged the president's supporters to take part in the "Organizing for America Pledge Project."

"By pledging and building support you will be taking the first steps towards establishing a nationwide grassroots network, neighborhood by neighborhood, standing side by side with President Obama as we bring about our agenda for change."

David Plouffe says that "Organizing for America" is not aimed at twisting the arms of members of Congress but meant to keep activists engaged on issues such as health care, energy and the economy.  When Obama's people control health care, energy and the economy, they pretty much have you by the shorts.

Good little Maoists swim with the fishes.  Change is implemented bottom-up.  Alinsky says so

If need be, you can expect to see the demonstrations, led by Obama's trained and ready-to-go community organizers --and ACORN will have its part to play.

Their "actions" will be all over TV, dramatically described by "independent journalists" like David Gregory and Chris Matthews.
Conspiracy Theory Hot Air tells us about Rahm Emanuel’s friendly daily chats with Begala, Carville, and Stephanopoulos, then there was the expose on the group effort ("explicitly authorized" by David Axelrod) to make Rush Limbaugh the face of the GOP, and now this.   No wonder Ben Smith’s using the word "conspiracy."

Twenty politically-left groups are holding daily conference calls to coordinate their messages.

The vast new left-wing conspiracy sets its tone every morning at 8:45 a.m., when officials from more than 20 labor, environmental and other Democratic-leaning groups dial into a private conference call hosted by two left-leaning Washington organizations…

The call has proved particularly effective at coordinating attacks on critics, said Jackie Schechner, the national communications director for Health Care for America Now, a labor-backed alliance of groups that support Democratic efforts to expand health care.

"There’s a coordination in terms of exposing the people who are trying to come out against reform -- they’ve all got backgrounds and histories and pasts, and it’s not taking long to unearth that and to unleash that, because we’re all working together," Schechner said.

When a new group called Conservative for Patients Rights, for instance, launched an ad campaign featuring former health care executive Rick Scott, "There was a discussion about what do we know about this guy and in a very quick period of time we were able to come up with his background," she said…

Though White House officials do not participate in the calls, Palmieri said, the new infrastructure is closely tied to the White House.  Podesta directed Obama’s transition, and Americans United for Change exists largely to run ads promoting the White House agenda.  Some on the left, however, remain skeptical of the White House’s embrace.
GIVE Act The Senate is working on the Kennedy/Hatch Serve America Act of 2008, and the House is working on a similar bill, called the Generations Invigorating Volunteering and Education (GIVE) Act (H. R. 1388).

Each would more than triple the number of AmeriCorp volunteers from 75,000 to 250,000, at an estimated cost of a billion dollars a year.

House Education and Labor Committee Chairman George Miller, D-Calf., said his committee will act on the bill this week, bring it to a vote by next week, with the goal of getting it to the president's desk before the April recess.

"This bill is going to the president's desk because he's absolutely captured the imagination of America to create a new generation of volunteers to expand the opportunities for volunteers from middle school to retired," Miller said.

The bill would also create "green" opportunities -- including a Clean Energy Corps to focus on environmental conservation.  It would also create a Healthy Futures Corps, focusing on health care; a Veteran Services Corps, focusing on services for military veterans; and an Education Corps.

One of the participants said, ""It's a construction job, but the skills aren't construction -- it's volunteer management, leadership..."

There's Obama's 3-pronged attack again -- environment, health and education.  Watch for those three in everything he does.

And it dovetails nicely with this:

On July 2nd, 2008, Obama spoke in Colorado Springs and hit themes of national service, foreign policy, and national security.  In that vein, Obama proposed a rather extraordinary idea -- that the US should spend as much money on a civilian national security force as it does on the military. (

Organizing For America A sitting President of the United States is organizing a political organization loyal to him, bound by a pledge, outside the government and existing party apparatus.  The historical precedents are ominous.  (video)

Obama's movement, Organizing for America (OFA), was announced in late January but officially unfurled last weekend.  Obama describes OFA as a "grass-roots movement" -- it is no such thing.  It is really a highly organized, top-down project, created, funded and managed by the Obama Campaign.  It identifies itself with the "O"-shaped logo of the Obama campaign.

New OFA enrollees will expand Obama's existing 13 million person database that is being used to mobilize support for Obama's agenda.

The OFA website reveals that supporters are not simply asked to sign up, they are asked to take a pledge.  A pledge to support -- not the constitution, not the country, not the flag, not even the Democratic party -- but Obama and his "bold plan."

Organizing Update - March 9, 2009  (02:37)

You will not find any mention of OFA`s governing structure, their budget, their bylaws, or their officers at the OFA website. Donations to the website go to the DNC, but OFA is managed out of the White House. If you click on the comments button, you are taken to a link to the White House email.

Those who take the pledge are asked to "talk with people about the President's plan" and to "ask them to sign their names to the pledge" in support of Obama's policies.

So we have a Movement -- their term, not mine -- organized by, and loyal to, a sitting President.  Pledge canvassers, armed with your name, will ask you to pledge loyalty to the President too.  A president whose term has already become a permanent campaign, is signing up ground forces in a mass organization pledged to personal loyalty to their Leader.

Does you know of any historical precedents for US citizens pledging fealty to a politician?  And, these are the same people who won't pledge allegiance to the flag.
Will You Take The Pledge? The Pledge: "I support President Obama's bold approach for renewing America's economy.  I will ask friends, family, and neighbors to pledge their support for this plan" -- (video)

They have taken a pledge of loyalty to Obama, and they say they are coming your way tomorrow for yours.  Organizing for America (OFA), the Obama-for-President campaign morphed into Obama-for-Maximum-Leader army, will hit the streets on Saturday for their "Pledge Project Canvass," knocking on doors and accosting folks in parking lots and sidewalks to ask them to sign a pledge to support Obama's policies for health care, energy and education reform.

Organizing for America is variously described in the media as [President Obama's] "own version of a lobbying firm", "a parallel organization to the Democratic National Committee" and "an independent force to lobby for Obama's goals" (Houston Chronicle); "an independent group" (Dayton Daily News); Obama's "citizen army," and a way of building public opinion" (The Bergen County Record); "a grass-roots lobbying group," (Roll Call), "Obama 2.0" (Newark Star-Ledger), "a joint partnership," (DNC press release), and as a "political bully," (AP).

Whatever OFA is, David Plouffe at least thinks ''[t]his has obviously never been undertaken before.  So it's going to be a little trial and error.''

It seems as though OFA's organizers are ignorant of the lessons of history and of the sinister ambitions of leaders who created their own private organizations, loyal only to them -- or not.

More . . .
H. R. 1388 The biting winds of change are blowing through ObamaNation.  The same "volunteerism" that kept America running since the days of its founding, wiped out with the stroke of a pen, will no longer be volunteerism.  It becomes forced labor and like the practice of another era, presses American citizens of all ages and creeds, unknowingly into military service.

On paper, H.R. 1388 is the "Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act"; the more innocuous sounding "The Give Act", for short.  But "The Give Act" is not part of Obama’s distant future for unsuspecting American citizens, because it hit the House floor on March 18th.

Democrat Rep. Carolyn McCarthy is sponsoring the bill with 25 co-sponsors, Democrats down to the last one.  Ayes and Nays 321-105, with 70 Republicans voting "Aye.".

The Give Act puts the finishing touches to Public Allies New Leadership for New Times, modeled after Saul Alinsky’s "Peoples Organizations" and operating under Michelle Obama with an alleged operating budget of more than $75-million a year.  According to a Fact Sheet About Public Allies, "President Obama was a member of the founding advisory board of the non-profit organization.  Michelle Obama was the founding Executive Director of Public Allies Chicago from Spring, 1993 until Fall 1996 (italics CFP’s).  She served on Public Allies national board of directors from 1997 until 2002.  Obama was no longer on the board when Michelle was hired.

Like most things Alinsky, H.R. 1388 sounds noble in stating why wide-sweeping change is necessary.  "The Give Act" aims to "leverage investments to increase State, local, business and philanthropic resources to address national and local challenges."

Comprehensive in its power, H.R. 1388 goes straight to the heart of volunteerism in America, impacting everything from the lemonade stands of neighborhood children, to the residents of senior citizens homes.

"American volunteers" from across the spectrum, once pressed into service of the Civilian Community Corps, in the fullness of time, shall be called the "National Civilian Community Corps."

You might want to run, but you can’t hide from H.R. 1388.

Whether you are young or old, or firmly believe that volunteering means you are offering your time to the good of community work, you will be pressed into Obama’s National Civilian Community Corps.

The National Civilian Community Corps is year-round and will impose itself on children away at summer camp.  Even private schools will not be immune from its membership.

Down through the generations, wearing a uniform has always appealed to the sincere at heart.

According to H.R. 1388, "the Director determines appropriate "uniforms."

Membership is mandatory!

Update:  Check out this amendment to the bill:

H.AMDT.49 to H.R.1388 cancels out -- "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
S. 277 The Senate agreed Monday to take up legislation to triple the size of the AmeriCorps program and open up opportunities for more people to serve their communities.

Lawmakers voted 74-14 to move to the legislation, named the "Serve America Act," that would expand AmeriCorps from its current 75,000 positions to 250,000 over the course of eight years.  Sixty votes were needed to bring the bill to the floor.  The measure is expected to come up for a final vote in the Senate sometime this week.

Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, who is being treated for brain cancer, made a rare appearance on the Senate floor to vote for the bill that he co-sponsored with Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah.

The legislation would also create five groups to help poor people, improve education, encourage energy efficiency, strengthen access to health care and assist veterans.

Sen. Barbara Mikulski, a Maryland Democrat, said the proposal is an investment that "will pay dividends long beyond anything that we can imagine."

The House last week passed a similar bill to add 175,000 participants, and

S. 277 would amend and reauthorize programs established under the National and Community Service Act of 1990 (NCSA) and the Domestic Volunteer Service Act of 1973 (DVSA).  The bill also would authorize a "Volunteers for Prosperity" program at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

Assuming appropriation of the estimated amounts, CBO estimates that implementing the bill would cost $4 1 8 million in 20 10 and about $5.7 billion over the 20 10-20 14 period.

What the hell is Hatch thinking?

Read about "The Movement" here.
Getting Paid To Cause Trouble At Obama's web site, you can find a list of Organizing for America (OFA) events in your area.

On April 4, at Roosevelt University's downtown Chicago campus, there will be a workshop entitled "Getting Paid to Cause Trouble: Careers in Organizing for Social Change (Community Service)."

"Organizers from Illinois AFSCME, UNITE HERE, UFCW, Communities for an Equitable Olympics (CEO), Center for Community Change and other unions and community groups will be here to talk about jobs and internships available NOW!"

AFSCME, UNITE HERE, and UFCW are all unions.  The other two groups are "progressive" Alinsky-model advocates for low-income people.  Listed as a sponsor is the Chicago Center for Working-Class Studies, also a labor-oriented group.

"Come meet organizers from local community organizations and unions ‘walking the walk'," the page encourages.  "Learn about careers in grassroots organizing."

Atlas Shrugs asks if you have you seen this .pdf?  It is Obama's fascist blueprint to create a police state and legalize gulags.  This is not a spoof.  This is the "mission statement" for Obama's "civilian army."

The Document's "Scope"

This product is one of a series of intelligence assessments published by the Extremism and Radicalization Branch (Homeland Environment Threat Analysis Division, Office of Threat Analysis. Coordinated with the FBI.) to facilitate a greater understanding of the phenomenon of violent radicalization in the United States.  The information is provided to federal, state, local, and tribal counterterrorism and law enforcement officials so they may effectively deter, prevent, preempt, or respond to terrorist attacks against the United States.  Federal efforts to influence domestic public opinion must be conducted in an overt and transparent manner, clearly identifying United States Government sponsorship.

So, now only the federal government may "influence domestic public opinion."

Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely.  It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.

Obviously, Homeland Security is no longer concerned with Islamic extremism, and even though left-wing extremists tear up cities from Seattle to New York, they are not a threat.  Only the "right-wing" is now a threat -- but is that perceived threat a threat to America, or is it a threat to Obama's socialist and fascist policies?

Key Findings

The DHS/Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A) has no specific information that domestic rightwing terrorists are currently planning acts of violence, but rightwing extremists may be gaining new recruits by playing on their fears about several emergent issues.  The economic downturn and the election of the first African American president present unique drivers for rightwing radicalization and recruitment.

Translation:  There is no threat. Give us time, we'll create one.

Threats from white supremacist and violent antigovernment groups during 2009 have been largely rhetorical and have not indicated plans to carry out violent acts.  Nevertheless, the consequences of a prolonged economic downturn -- including real estate foreclosures, unemployment, and an inability to obtain credit -- could create a fertile recruiting environment for rightwing extremists and even result in confrontations between such groups and government authorities similar to those in the past.

Translation: There is no threat. Give us time, we'll create one.

The current economic and political climate has some similarities to the 1990s when rightwing extremism experienced a resurgence fueled largely by an economic recession, criticism about the outsourcing of jobs, and the perceived threat to U.S. power and sovereignty by other foreign powers.

American sovereignty is now a radical position.

During the 1990s, these issues contributed to the growth in the number of domestic rightwing terrorist and extremist groups and an increase in violent acts targeting government facilities, law enforcement officers, banks, and infrastructure sectors.

Sounds like they are describing Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, Obama's great friends and terrorist patriots!

Growth of these groups subsided in reaction to increased government scrutiny as a result of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing and disrupted plots, improvements in the economy, and the continued U.S. standing as the preeminent world power.

Their evidence is one terror attack 15 years ago -- but fail to mention the 13,000 Islamic attacks since 9/11.

The possible passage of new restrictions on firearms and the return of military veterans facing significant challenges reintegrating into their communities could lead to the potential emergence of terrorist groups or lone wolf extremists capable of carrying out violent attacks.

Ah, there it is. take their guns away.

Proposed imposition of firearms restrictions and weapons bans likely would attract new members into the ranks of rightwing extremist groups, as well as potentially spur some of them to begin planning and training for violence against the government.  The high volume of purchases and stockpiling of weapons and ammunition by rightwing extremists in anticipation of restrictions and bans in some parts of the country continue to be a primary concern to law enforcement.

Ban?  What ban?  This is a staging.  Fake staging to seize weapons.

Returning veterans possess combat skills and experience that are attractive to rightwing extremists.  DHS/I&A is concerned that rightwing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize returning veterans in order to boost their violent capabilities.

America's heroes are to be considered extremists because they have combat skills.  These wonderful young people, who daily risks their lives in defense of our country are now being painted as extremists by the bunch in the White House.

And these paragraphs are just the introduction to this radical document, which is nothing more than Obama's plan to paint anyone that disagrees with Obama's agenda as an extremist.

If you oppose illegal immigration -- you are an extremist.

If you are a supporter of your 2nd Amendment rights and an opponent of federal firearms registration -- you are an extremist.

If you oppose mandatory tagging and registration of ammunition -- extremist!

If you oppose a "One World Government" -- you are an extremist.

"Disgruntled" military veterans -- yup, extremists!

If you oppose government infringement on civil liberties -- you are an extremist.

Are you a member of the "cabal of Jewish financial elites" -- you're an extremist.

Do you "bemoan" the decline of U.S. stature -- away with you -- you are an extremist.

If you are unemployed, you are susceptible to forming rightwing extremist beliefs in your children -- specifically xenophobia and antidemocratic ideals -- you are an extremist.

And, it goes on and on.

This document was prepared by the Obama Administration as a result  of "the historical election of an African American president and the prospect of policy changes (that) are proving to be a driving force for rightwing extremist recruitment and radicalization."

The document closes with a charge for Americans to spy on their fellow Americans: "DHS encourages recipients of this document to report information concerning suspicious or criminal activity to DHS and the FBI."

Read this ten-page document.  Send it to your friends and associates.  Let them know what Obama plans for those who disagree with his socialist programs and "One World Government."

Obama's Youth Indoctrination Program The AmeriCorps program will triple in size over the next eight years, and tens of thousands of other Americans will soon see new opportunities to "volunteer."

It's all part of a $5.7 billion national service bill Obama is scheduled to sign Tuesday to foster and fulfill people's desire to make a difference, such as by mentoring children, cleaning up parks or building and weatherizing homes for the poor.

Bolstering voluntary public service programs has been a priority of Obama, who credits his work as a community organizer in his early 20s for giving him direction in life.

The White House said Monday that Obama "will call on people across the country to serve their communities and work together to tackle the nation's tough challenges."

The legislation provides for gradually increasing the size of AmeriCorps to 250,000 enrollees from its current 75,000.  It outlines five broad categories where people can direct their service: helping the poor, improving education, encouraging energy efficiency, strengthening access to health care and assisting veterans.

The operative section of this item is, "...a priority of Obama, who credits his work as a community organizer..."

This program will be used to indoctrinate the young -- plain and simple.  It is not an accident that this Obama-friendly article identifies Obama's three principal goals as the areas in which these "volunteers" will be utilized.  These "volunteers," believing they are engaged in "community service," will be Obama's shock troops in implementing his agenda.

Remember these words:

"We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set.  We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded." (video)
Obama's Jugend Yesterday, Obama signed a huge expansion of his "youth brigades" legislation when he signed into law the "GIVE Act," H.R. 1388.  This bill provides for the massive expansion of the National Service Corporation and allocates to it billions of dollars.  One of the program's executives says it will allow for the management of up to eight or nine million people.

The Obama File has been tracking Obama's plans to assemble such a corps ever since Obama told a campaign stop in Colorado Springs in 2008 that he wants a "Civilian National Security Force" as big and as well-funded as the U.S. military.

H.R. 1388 includes a National Service Reserve Corps whose members have completed a term of national service, training and not less than 10 hours of volunteering each year.

In a conference call with WorldNewsDaily.com reporters, Alan Solomont, the chairman of the Corporation for National and Community Service, said the 75,000 current members of the AmericCorps program "leverage" about 2.2 million volunteers, and the total of all such volunteers who are managed through the federal program total about four million.

He said the possibility with the expanded authorization and funding means that up to eight or nine million could be involved.

"If we triple the size of AmeriCorps from 75,000 members to 250,000 members annually, and if we -- if those 75,000 AmeriCorps members are currently engaging 2.2. million volunteers a year, we could triple that to 6.6 million volunteers, 250,000 AmeriCorps members.  So I think -- you can do the math -- I think that was about six or seven million, and then we have another half a million in Senior Corps and another million or so in Learn and Serve America [for children]," he said.

And he's not counting the people in Obama's Public Allies, nor those trained in the many Camp Obamas.

Congress is also considering a "public service academy, a four-year institution that offers a federally funded undergraduate education with a focus on training future public sector leaders."

Joseph Farah, warns, that if we're going to create some kind of national police force as big, powerful and well-funded as our combined U.S. military forces, isn't this rather a big deal?  I thought Democrats generally believed the U.S. spent too much on the military.  How is it possible their guy is seeking to create some kind of massive but secret national police force that will be even bigger than the Army, Navy, Marines and Air Force put together?

Is Obama serious about creating some kind of domestic security force bigger and more expensive than that?  If not, why did he say it?  What did he mean?

Melody Barnes, director of the White House domestic policy council, confirmed the plan was in response to Obama's demand for civilian service during his campaign.

"That's certainly something that the president has spoken about. And he started his call around nation service publicly during the course of the campaign when he talked about the fact that government cannot be a solution to all of our problems, and we have to work together," she said.

Officials said there also are specific programs for seniors and children to become involved in the government operation, and the plan goes far beyond just working on planting trees or addressing storm damage.

"The bill provides the opportunity for a social innovation fund," said one official, that will allow the government to pursue changes in health care, energy and education -- Obama's trifecta.

Judi McLeod wrote for Canada Free Press that the bill simply would turn everybody into a community organizer.

"Everybody means the roughly seven million people called to public duty in the $6 billion National Service effort," she said.  "But members pressed into the service of the one million-strong Youth Brigade, sanctioned by 'Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education (GIVE),' will have none of the freedoms of the community organizer who started it all.

"There's no room for God in Obama's long promised Youth Brigade, no room to protest, petition, to boycott or to support a strike, and loopholes to give its mandatory membership a pass," she wrote.  "Obama's plan requires anyone receiving school loans, among others to serve at least three months as part of the brigade."

Gary Wood at Examiner.com said it's part of Obama's plan to set up national service.  He noted the explanation offered by White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel: "It's time for a real Patriot Act that brings out the patriot in all of us.  We propose universal civilian service for every young American.  Under this plan, all Americans between the ages of 18 and 25 will be asked to serve their country by going through three months of basic training, civil defense preparation and community service."

This is nothing more than one, big, government-funded indoctrination program -- Obama intends to create his ow own Jugend.
The
Walpin
Scandal
A new report reveals that there is substantial evidence that Inspector General Gerald Walpin was fired from his post where he was investigating AmeriCorps funding to avoid embarrassment for Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle.

The report is from Byron York at the Washington Examiner.  On his blog, he wrote he interviewed a Republican member of the board for the Corporation for National and Community Service, the overseer for AmeriCorps, a favorite program for the Obamas.

The report said the board discussion was revolving around the St. HOPE program in California, which has been given hundreds of thousands of federal dollars and used it for, among other things, washing cars for Obama friend and Sacramento mayor Kevin Johnson.

The board member told York Walpin opposed an agreement that would require a return of only part of the allegedly misused money and leave Johnson open to receiving more federal dollars.

"Walpin told board members at the meeting that he wanted to issue some sort of public statement to the effect that there should be more investigation of the St. HOPE matter," York reported.

"He said, 'I feel so strongly about this that today I am going to issue a statement to the press calling for further investigation,'" the member said, York reported. "The board members all caught that."

The report said that was distressing for the board because of AmeriCorps' high profile and the fact it was a favorite program for the Obamas and was in line to receive some of the $5.7 billion from the new Serve America Act.

"In the midst of that, here was the agency's inspector general saying he might re-open an investigation into an embarrassing episode involving hundreds of thousands of misspent dollars and a politically prominent supporter of the president," the report said.

"We did not need any press out there on this St. HOPE matter, which was already settled," the board member told York.

Ultimately the FBI was contacted and asked to look into the St. Hope scenario, and the White House issued a statement that Walpin was confused and disoriented at the meeting and that was why he was being dismissed.

"But there is no doubt that, whatever the other reasons, the board feared that a revival of a scandal they thought was in the past would be embarrassing to the newly-prominent AmeriCorps," the report said.
Always Organizing Michelle Obama is kicking off a White House push to underscore the importance of volunteerism in San Francisco on Monday.

Michelle will visit a community playground service project at Bret Harte Elementary School in San Francisco, and then deliver the keynote at Moscone Center, before the 2009 National Conference on Volunteering and Service. That meeting, hosted by the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) and the Points of Light Institute, will give her an audience of thousands of folks who are leaders in volunteer projects and service projects across the country.

Mrs. Obama's effort marks the start of the United We Serve summer service initiative supported by the White House, which has set up a whole series of events starring Cabinet Secretaries and senior administration officials across the country to mark the occasion on Monday.

"During this summer, the president is renewing his call to all Americans to identify needs in their communities, engage in meaningful service to create change -- and stay engaged with these projects long after September,'' says the Obama Administration press release, which urges Americans to hit the website of the CNCS for ideas on where to volunteer.

Flopping Aces points out that CNCS is the parent organization of AmeriCorps.

It’s the same CNCS that last year suspended Sacramento mayor/Obama crony Kevin Johnson from receiving federal funds after then-inspector general Gerald Walpin blew the whistle on massive fraud and abuse of AmeriCorps dollars for personal and political gain.

It’s the same CNCS that then sat by and meekly watched Team Obama and the U.S. Attorney in Sacramento railroad Walpin after the November 2008 election for doing his damned job.

And now, there is no honest, independent watchdog to raise questions on behalf of taxpayers as the Obama political machine takes over the national service juggernaut.  How…convenient.

And we’re not only talking about a few speeches to the organizations, we’re talking about the First Lady being waaaay to involved in them.

Mrs. Obama’s interest is more than passing.  She ran the AmeriCorps-funded non-profit Public Allies in Chicago from 1993-1996 and served on its national board until 2001.  Like so many of the AmeriCorps recipients investigated by the inspector general’s office over the years, Public Allies was found to have violated basic eligibility and compliance rules.  A January 2007 audit reported that the group lacked internal controls verifying that recipients who received education grants and living allowances were legal citizens or permanent residents as required by law.

And lets not forget that the former chief of staff for Michelle Obama is now a "senior adviser" at CNCS.

First Lady Michelle Obama’s chief of staff, Jackie Norris, is being sent to the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) in what is both a White House shake-up and an indication of the first lady’s sway over the corporation that oversees AmeriCorps, Learn and Serve and the Senior Corps.

Observers believe Norris, who Obama came to know early in the Iowa caucus campaign, was forced out of the White House so that long-time Obama friend Susan Sher could take over. But those same observers see her appointment as senior adviser to the corporation as an overall win for CNCS, believing that Norris still will have a straight line to the White House.

On another note, the FBI is finally investigating Sacramento Mayor Johnson’s obvious obstruction:

The FBI is investigating allegations that an executive at a nonprofit founded by Mayor Kevin Johnson obstructed a federal inquiry into the group’s spending.

Two months ago, Johnson and the St. HOPE Academy agreed to repay nearly $424,000 in federal grants to settle an investigation into whether the nonprofit misused AmeriCorps money.

Acting U.S. Attorney Lawrence G. Brown said he asked the FBI’s Sacramento division to determine whether e-mails written by Johnson were deleted during the earlier investigation.

And lastly, how can we forget how deeply connected these groups in question are with ACORN?

Here's more on Michelle's involvement in Public Allies and Obama's National Security Force.
