Abe picks the wife up at the Reno airport and drives to Slide Mountain. Suddenly the brakes fail, the car goes through a guard post, Abe jumps out, but the wife goes over an 800 foot cliff.

It seems Bergna had put 10 gallons of gas in the trunk, so the wife could have her own holocaust. Then the prosecutors pointed out that Bergman had a string of lovers before and soon after the wife's death.
