Obama Still Stonewalls The Release Of His
Birth Certificate |
|
6/1/09 |
1. During the campaign,
Obama
told a story about his "uncle," Charles Payne's, WW II experiences
to burnish his all-American upbringing. But Obama made a gaffe when he
said his great uncle liberated Auschwitz. Well, Russian troops liberated Auschwitz, so the story changed that Payne was part of the
force that liberated Ohrdruf, a subcamp of the Buchenwald concentration
camp, in April 1945.
2. The previous item may have
incorrect information from Ancestry.com. They have been contacted for
verification, but there are still other questions hanging. Records
do not show either Charles T. Payne, or Charles W. Payne of Kansas
serving in the US Army, only the US Navy. The above report must remain "unconfirmed," for now.
3. Hot Air
reports that last
week, Barack Obama announced the creation of a cyber security czar,
giving his administration more czars than the Russian Empire, but that’s
another issue altogether. In order to convince Americans of the
necessity of such a position, Obama gave us this dire scenario in his
speech.
4. The Obama infatuation is a great
unreported
story of our time. Has any recent president basked in so much favorable
media coverage? Well, maybe John Kennedy for a moment, but no president
since. On the whole, this is not healthy for America.
5. Obama's expressed hope today in his
weekly address "that we can avoid the political posturing and
ideological brinksmanship that has bogged down this (Supreme Court
nomination) process, and Congress, in the past" runs against another
historical first: his unique role in history as the first US leader to
have ever voted to filibuster a Supreme Court nominee.
6. Respect for
Islam, a prescription for Palestinian statehood and assurances of a
speedy U.S. pullout from Iraq -- that's what Muslims from Morocco to
Malaysia say they
want to hear from Barack Obama this week
when he addresses them from this Arab capital. |
6/2/09 |
1. Obama
suggested that Iran may have some right to nuclear energy -- provided it
proves by the end of the year that its aspirations are peaceful.
2. Yesterday's Latest News featured a
report about Obama's "uncle,"
Charles Payne's, WW II experiences.
The report is most probably in error.
3.
Catherine Herridge filed a report tonight from Gitmo, with a breaking
story that two of the Chinese Muslim Uighurs eagerly spoke to the press
when she was in Camp Iguana. They called Obama a Democrat and a
Communist, and said they lived in a similar governmental system back in
their own country.
4. The Obama administration has
petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court to protect Saudi Arabia and four of
its princes from being held accountable for their alleged role in the
September 11, 2001, terrorist attack on the United States that killed
almost 3,000 Americans.
5. This was Benjamin
Netanyahu's
response to Obama's demand that Israel cease
construction in the West Bank that is the natural outgrowth of existing
settlements. In others words, Netanyahu is saying "no" to Obama.
6. Obama
recognized June as Lesbian,
Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender, or LGBT, pride month Monday. In a
presidential statement he marked the anniversary of the LGBT pride
movement and added that the government will "commit to achieving equal
justice under law for LGBT Americans." |
6/3/09 |
1. A few weeks back, Obama
said
America is not a Christian nation.
2. The
suspect, Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, was charged with killing one
soldier and seriously wounding another in a shooting outside an Army
recruiting office in Little Rock, Ark. He was once detained in Yemen for
possessing a fake Somali passport and other counterfeit documents, law
enforcement officials said Tuesday.
3. Obama launched a
website
last week called "Open Government Dialogue." The website invites,
"...open participation and diverse viewpoints to be shared, the main
goal of this dialogue is to answer the overarching question: How
can we strengthen our democracy and promote efficiency and effectiveness
by making government more transparent, participatory, and
collaborative?" Funny what happened.
4. Georgia
Secretary of State Karen Handel issued the following
statement following
the U.S. Department of Justice’s denial of preclearance of Georgia’s
voter verification process. |
6/4/09 |
1. Obama sought a
"new beginning" between the United States and the Muslim world on
Thursday but offered no new initiative to end the Palestinian-Israeli
conflict.
2. Charles Hurt,
writing in the New York Post, says that with his trademark humility,
Obama noted in his speech this morning that "change cannot happen
overnight" and that one speech in Cairo -- even delivered by him -- will
not bring about world peace.
3. As Obama prepares to address
Muslims around the world, questions about the mood and opinions of Arabs
are surfacing. A
new poll on attitudes in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan,
Morocco and the United Arab Emirates shows that the election of
Obama is fueling hopes about U.S. Middle East policy. But it
also reveals that most Arabs hold unfavorable views of the United
States.
4. Obama Leaks Nuclear Secrets.
5. Obama said
Wednesday he wants at least $200 billion cut from Medicare and Medicaid
spending over the next decade to help pay for overhauling the nation's
health care system and providing coverage to 50 million uninsured
Americans.
6. Venezuela's
President Hugo Chavez
said on Tuesday that he and Cuban ally Fidel
Castro risk being more conservative than Obama as Washington prepares to
take control of General Motors Corp.
7. The company
touting itself as the "world's largest out-of-home media" enterprise has
banned WorldNetDaily's national billboard campaign that asks one simple
question: "Where's the birth certificate?" |
6/5/09 |
1. Presidential Approval Index
2. America's Sorry -- Cartoon
3. The Defense Department is reportedly furious with
Obama's
proposal to sell blueprints of the B-2 Spirit stealth bomber to
the People's Republic. Gates has flatly rejected Obama's plan,
but has since been asked to step down if he will not facilitate the
process.
4. The Attorney
General released a statement relating to Obama’s historic speech today
in Cairo, Egypt.
5. Remember that time when we had a wall between the FBI
and the CIA, and then 9/11 happened, and then we all
concluded that the only thing dumber than fighting a terrorist war via
law enforcement was doing it badly?
6. Speaking at the University of
Cairo, Obama said that Americans are indebted
to Islam for the great contributions Muslims have made to the history
and development of the United States.
7. Obama's speech was
abstract, vapid, and self-absorbed. |
6/6/09 |
1. "I apologize" -- cartoon
2. British Prime Minister makes major slip at D-Day ceremony.
3. Bat Ye'or observes that
Obama was elected, by an overwhelming majority, on a program in which
America’s rapprochement with Islam stands pre-eminent. This is a
legitimate political aim in the quest for world peace. The questions
are: how to achieve it, and why there is no reciprocal effort from the
Muslim world represented by the Organization of the Islamic World (OIC). This body could express its regrets for over a millennium of jihad wars,
land expropriations, enslavements, and humiliations of the conquered
non-Muslim populations on three continents.
4. Frank Gaffney
says, by and large, Obama's address yesterday in Cairo has been well
received in both the so-called "Muslim world" and by other audiences. Nobody may be happier with it, though, than the Muslim Brotherhood --
the global organization that seeks to impose authoritative Islam's theo-political-legal
program known as "Sharia" through stealthy means where violence ones
are not practicable. Egyptian Muslim Brothers were prominent among the
guests in the audience at Cairo University and Brotherhood-associated
organizations in America, like the Council on American Islamic Relations
(CAIR), have rapturously endorsed the speech.
5. From an Israeli perspective, Pres. Barack
Obama’s speech today in Cairo was deeply disturbing. Both rhetorically
and programmatically, Obama’s speech was a renunciation of America’s
strategic alliance with Israel.
6. The White House
confirmed yesterday that Michelle, the two daughters, and his
mother-in-law will fly today to the City of Lights to join Obama, who
has scheduled meetings with French officials and will appear at a
ceremony today in Normandy marking the 65th anniversary of D-Day.
7. 9/11
families were stunned this week to learn that Obama is asking
the Supreme Court NOT to review their effort to recover damages from the
government of Saudi Arabia and from several Saudi princes for funding
al Qaeda’s 9/11 attack on America. That the defendants did funnel vast
sums of money to al Qaeda was accepted as a given by the appellate
court, as was the fact that al Qaeda was known to be dedicated to and
engaged in violent attacks against America. So what was the Obama
administration’s reason for siding with the Saudis?
8. Arguments that had been expected to be
taking place before a federal appeals
court right about now on whether U.S.
citizens have a right to know that their
president is eligible for the office he
holds have been delayed. |
6/7/09 |
1. Cartoon -- Please, Make It
Stop
2. According to the Hawaii
Star-Bulletin, the State of Hawaii, Department of Health no longer
issues copies of paper birth certificates as was done in the past, said
spokeswoman Janice Okubo.
3. Perhaps the most challenging task
for analysts and commentators to accomplish after having listen to
Barack Obama's speech in Cairo (addressed to the "Muslim
World") is to know how to read it, understand the links between the
points he made, capture the arguments inserted by his speech writers and
thus analyze the text as a major policy change since 9/11.
4. Col. Ralph
Peters says he thought he
knew a little bit about the Middle East. Boy, was he wrong. Last week,
Obama set him straight. Here's what Obama taught him during his
Middle-Eastern pilgrimage.
5. What do you get for
threatening to wipe an entire country off the face of the earth?
Hot dogs from the Obama administration, according to The New York Times.
The State Department has
asked US embassies across the world to invite
Iranian diplomats to 4th of July celebrations, for the first time in
nearly 30 years.
6. It was
not always wedded bliss for the First Couple. A new book, "Renegade,"
about Mr. Obama's unlikely run for the presidency, recounts a tense
period in 2000 when the Obamas' marriage was on the brink of collapse
because of his restless political hunger and the family's shattered
finances.
7. Michelle -- killer photo! |
6/8/09 |
1. Obama has never provided
documentation to support his constitutional eligibility to serve as
Commander-in-Chief -- never.
2. The Hawaiian certification of live birth (COLB) the Obama
Campaign posted on the Internet as proof of his eligibility would not be
accepted for eligibility for some Hawaiian state government programs.
3. When the World's Biggest
Celebrity and his wife had their glam-date in Paris, part of their
Family Dream Weekend in Paris, their food taster was on hand, ready to
die for his president. I don't blame the The One for it. Lord knows the
American oppression of France has been severe, and the black and Muslim
immigrant communities have been hit the hardest. I suppose there is
Secret Service agent assigned this duty.
4. King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia has
urged Obama to impose a solution on the festering Arab-Israeli
conflict if necessary, a Saudi newspaper said on Sunday. |
6/9/09 |
1. With Obama's
unbelievably ballyhooed address in Cairo Thursday to what he calls "the
Muslim world" (hereafter known as "the Speech"), there is mounting
evidence that Obama not only identifies with Muslims, but
actually
may still be one himself. Consider the following indicators.
2. "As the
Holy [sic!] Koran tells us, Be conscious of God and speak always the
truth," Obama told his audience at the beginning of his much
heralded speech in Cairo last week.
3. Talk radio icon Rush Limbaugh
says Barack Obama has become the
Mikhail Gorbachev of the United States, overseeing its destruction.
4.
Obama’s proposed healthcare plan is the "first step in destroying the
best healthcare system the world has ever known," Sen. Richard Shelby,
R-Ala., told Chris Wallace on "Fox News Sunday."
5. The Obama administration was out in full force
defending the stimulus this weekend. The mantra is that the economy is
getting better but Americans need to be patient to see progress. The
problem is that, so far, there hasn't been any economic progress. |
6/10/09 |
1. Breaking News From Rush
Limbaugh’s Radio Program! Rush just
said:
2.
When 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammad was captured on March 1,
2003, he was not cooperative. "I’ll talk to you guys after I get to New
York and see my lawyer," he said, according to former CIA Director
George Tenet.
3.
The federal court in Camden, N,J has granted the defendants (Obama and
Congress) a second request for a time extension but wrote a lengthy
order reasoning the importance of the case.
4. Obama
claimed that the stimulus would save 3 million jobs.
5. Yo!
Obama -- the U. S. Constitution is 222 years old, not 2,000 -- what a
dope!
6. Flopping Aces
reports that it took a Boeing 757 and a fleet of
armored cars for Michelle’s taxpayer-paid sight seeing tour!
7. I’ve finally figured
out the Obama economic strategy. Obama and his team have been having so
much fun wielding dictatorial power while rescuing "failed" firms, that
they have developed a scheme to gain the same power over every business. The plan is to enact policies that are so anticompetitive that every
firm needs a bailout. |
6/11/09 |
1. John Hinderaker
reports that his friend Steve Hayes has blown the whistle on a real
scandal (as opposed to a faux "scandal" like waterboarding).
On orders of the Obama administration, terrorists captured in
Afghanistan are now being given Miranda warnings.
2. We all
know that Obama doesn't care much for the military -- may even fear them
-- but eliminating 200 hundred years of tradition is just nuts.
3. With the media’s
rhapsodic paeans to President Obama’s "historic" Cairo speech now
receding into the background, this may be an opportune moment to take a
sober look at America’s policies vis-à-vis the Muslim world and, no less
important, at where Islam itself may be heading.
4. Gas Prices Skyrocket Under Obama.
5.
Obama's racist and anti-American minister
and mentor, Jeremiah Wright, is now
blaming "them Jews" for keeping Obama from giving him a call these
days. |
6/12/09 |
1. On April
10, 2008, Sens. Patrick Leahy (D-VT) and Claire McCaskill (D-MO)
introduced a resolution expressing the sense of the U.S. Senate that
presidential candidate Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) was a 'natural born
Citizen,' as specified in the Constitution and eligible to run for
President.
2. Dr. Ron Polarik
reminds us that today marks the Anniversary of the Obama COLB Forgery.
Yes, a whole year has past since Obama committed felony document fraud
and posted a false
identification document on the Internet.
3. PatriotRoom.com
reminds us that it
is no secret that the administration is working very hard to get a
health care bill passed this year. All those in favor of the bill
say it will result in
lower costs and health care for everyone. Those of us who oppose this
plan know that is all a sham. It won't lower costs. Even right now the
debate in congress is just that, how to pay for the thing.
4. American Thinker
draws our attention to this essay by former Navy and Marine Corps
officer and Chaplain Rabbi Dr. Morton Pomerantz, in which he blasts
Barack Obama for "creating a climate of hate" against Jews. |
6/13/09 |
1.
Obama hasn't decided whether or not to
release Guantanamo Bay detainees in the United States.
2. U.S. officials say
three Guantanamo Bay detainees have been
sent home to Saudi Arabia.
3. Senior
aides to Obama
accompanied four Chinese Muslims and their lawyers on a
flight from the Guantanamo Bay detention facility to Bermuda.
4.
Military intelligence officials have quietly told Congress they advised
against transferring 25 of the 60 Guantanamo Bay terror detainees deemed
eligible for relocation by the Obama administration, including five who
are considered to be highly dangerous and likely to return to the
battlefield.
5. Victor Davis Hanson, in his essay, "Just Make Stuff Up," says that in the
first six months of the Obama administration, we have witnessed an
assault on the truth of a magnitude not seen since the Nixon Watergate
years. The prevarication is ironic given the Obama campaign’s
accusations that the Bush years were not transparent and that Hillary
Clinton, like her husband, was a chronic fabricator. Remember Obama’s
own assertions that he was a "student of history" and that "words mean
something. You can’t just make stuff up." |
6/14/09 |
1.
Obama has appointed 21 "Czars."
2. From "Dreams..." --
page 26, last paragraph: "I discovered this article, folded
away among my birth certificate and old vaccination forms, when I was in
high school.
3.
If, like John Hinderaker, you haven't had time over the last few days to
keep up with the story
of Barack Obama's firing of Gerald Walpin, the Inspector General who has
responsibility for the AmeriCorps program, Byron York will bring you
up to speed. The story is an interesting one that sheds light
on the lawless, bullying nature of the Obama administration.
4.
Even Democrats are opposing Obama's Energy Bill. Climate change
legislation will be utterly devastating for American farmers. Rep.
Leonard Boswell (D-IA) of the House Agriculture Committee says that not
only will he not vote for it, but no one else on his committee will
support it either. |
6/15/09 |
1.
Obama hasn't decided whether or not to
release Guantanamo Bay detainees
in the United States.
2.
America Talks blog
opines that with the dropping of the phrase "war on terror" and his
recent diatribe in Cairo, Barack Hussein Obama has effectively waved the
white flag at the radical faction of Islam that would seek to destroy
us.
3.
Obama's "learning curve" regarding his policies toward Iran might buy
Tehran enough time to produce nuclear weapons, Shabtai Shavit, former
chief of the Mossad intelligence agency, warned in an exclusive WND
interview today.
4.
D-day, the Six of June, is a date that the world forever remembers, as
the beginning of the end of Nazi tyranny, and the beginning of a return
to democracy. D-day, the Fourth of June, is a date that will also go
down in history as the day we turned our backs on the only true
democracy in the Middle East.
5. Obama will
dominate the world.
6.
Barack H. Obama will forever be known as the first black president of
the United States. This fact will likely be the least impressive
item about him in tomorrow's history books. The first four months
of his administration strongly suggest that he will most likely be known
as the president who transformed America's system of government. |
6/16/09 |
1.
The Drudge Report is
reporting that on the night of June 24th, the media and government
will become one, when ABC turns its programming over to Barack Obama and
White House officials to push government run health care -- a move that
has ignited an ethical firestorm!
2.
Senior aides to Barack Obama accompanied four Uighur
prisoners as they were flown from Guantanamo Bay to the British colony
of Bermuda, without the United Kingdom (UK) being informed, it was
revealed yesterday, angering the UK. |
6/17/09 |
1. Birther movement persists --
consists of kooks, nuts and murderers!
2.
Despite the mainstream news media's silence regarding this matter, an
increasing number of Americans are concerned that Barack Obama might not
be eligible, under the Constitution, to serve as President.
3. This is a news item that concerns our Supreme Court's fourth chance
to address the Obama birth certificate issue. I wrote most of you
in January, at a prior turning point. Because you are a concerned
citizen, you have to know about this, and I hope you'll share it with
your friends and family and pastor. This is not a request for
donation.
4.
The claim made by Obama that 46 million "Americans" lack health
insurance is false because that number includes almost 10 million people
who are not "Americans" but in fact citizens of foreign countries who
happen to be present in the United States ILLEGALLY, according to data
from the U.S. Census Bureau. |
6/18/09 |
1. Silence is
complicity. Obama's refusal to take a forthright moral stand on
the side of the Iranian freedom marchers is read in Tehran as a blank
check for the current regime.
2.
Victor Davis Hanson,
writing in RealClearPolitics.com, asks if you are you confused by
all that has changed since Barack Obama took office in January? If
so, you're not alone. Perhaps, though, this handy guide to Age of
Obama "logic" might be of some assistance.
3.
J. G. Thayer
writes, it’s still very early in the Obama administration, but a
pattern is beginning to emerge in how Obama deals with foreign nations.
And it isn’t a very pretty one.
4.
The Justice Department confirmed last week that FBI agents in
Afghanistan are reading Miranda warnings to suspected terrorists
captured there, a practice that Republican congressmen this week branded
as "crazy" and "stupid." |
6/19/09 |
1. Bill Crystal
says that on
September 2, 1939, in the wake of Hitler’s invasion of Poland, the
British House of Commons met to rush through a military service bill. But the House was stunned when Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain said
he wasn’t ready to ask for a declaration of war, that he was still
working on a time limit for Hitler to respond to demands that the German
army withdraw from Poland. As the Labour Party’s Arthur Greenwood rose
for the Opposition, the anti-appeasement Conservative Leo Amery
dramatically called out from the Tory backbenches: "Speak for England."
2. Richard
Baehr says one might think that Barack Obama's obsession with Jewish
settlements in the West Bank would wane a bit, given the events in Iran. But to think this would be wrong.
3. The Rise Of
Islam In America -- Hizb ut-Tahrir America Enters
Public Stage.
4. As indignation turned to
outrage Thursday among critics of an ABC News prime-time special on
President Obama's health care policy, The Washington Times has learned
that ABC employees gave 80 times as much money to Mr. Obama's 2008
campaign for president than to his rival's. |
6/20/09 |
1. PatriotRoom.com
reports that closing Gitmo in January became one step closer to legally
impossible today.
2. Attorney
General Eric Holder said Wednesday there may be 50 or more trials of
Guantanamo Bay detainees as the Obama administration works to shut the
detention center by early next year. Holder discussed the plan before
the Senate Judiciary Committee, where the senior Republican called him
"too soft" on terrorism while a second GOP lawmaker said he was on the
right track in handling detainees.
3. In Part I of this
article series, I suggested that one pinnacle of the Obama strategy --
whoever is behind him -- is to destroy the national sovereignty of the
United States. There are two parts to this effort.
4. This is a small sampling of
first reactions to Obama's new global warming
report.
5. FitsNews
says: We had to go to
Target the other day with Mrs. Sic and dammit if a bunch of Barack Obama
propaganda wasn’t staring us in the face at every turn … in practically
every aisle. |
6/21/09 |
1. We have no proof of where Obama was born. Anyone who
claims that he was born in Hawaii is suffering from
COLB Derangement
Syndrome. Hawaii never confirmed that he was born in Hawaii, never
confirmed that he has a Hawaiian long-form birth certificate or any
other US birth certificate on file, or even if they have anything
tangible beyond a computer record.
2. Presidential Approval
Index
3. Michelle Obama is kicking off a White House
push to underscore the importance of
volunteerism in San Francisco on
Monday.
4. Russian strongman
Vladamir Putin thinks Barack Obama’s plan to raise taxes on American
business is nuts. Just plain nuts.
5. Paul at Powerline reports,
according to a poll conducted for the Jerusalem Post, only 6 percent of
Israeli Jews believe that Obama is pro-Israel. 50 percent consider Obama
more pro-Palestinian than pro-Israel; 36 percent consider him neutral;
and the remainder have no opinion.
6. Dr. David Scheiner took care of
Obama for 22 years. But they don't see eye-to-eye on how to fix the
health care system. |
6/22/09 |
1. Priorities!
2.
It's bad enough that Obama took off a few hours
during the crisis to go golfing, but he also took his self-described
foreign policy expert, Joe Biden, with him. Shouldn’t Joe
have been back at the bunker, working one of the biggest foreign-policy
crises in this administration, instead of literally puttering around?
3. Niles
Gardiner
says that ten days after the fraudulent Iranian election,
Obama still looks like a deer in the headlights without a coherent
strategy. His response has been weak-kneed and utterly lacking in
conviction. When faced with his first real test as a world leader Barack
Obama decided to press the snooze button rather than take decisive
action.
4. Anthony G. Martin writes, in my last column I
provided a detailed report of various impeachable offenses committed by
Barack Obama. Each one is serious and stands on its own merit. |
6/23/09 |
1.
United We Serve will, no doubt, perform
some necessary and useful services, but it will also serve as a culling
process for Obama's National Security Force.
2. WorldNetDaily Editor and Chief
Executive Officer Joseph Farah is offering a $10,000 reward to anyone
who can prove he or she was present at the birth of Barack Obama -- and
he's asking Americans to donate to the cause in hopes of raising the
bounty to an irresistible amount.
3. Those not walking
around in a self induced coma are aware of the 38 lawsuits regarding
Barack Hussein Obama aka Barry Soetoro aka Barry Obama aka Barack Dunham
aka Barry Dunham, over his false citizenship claims. Double digit
millions of Americans now know the legal facts or at least are
questioning why Obama/Soetoro won't release his long form birth
certificate. Of course, that isn't the core issue, but millions of us
know there is something wrong or Obama/Soetoro would have released it by
now, as well as his college transcripts as have other candidates and
presidents.
4. Michael Barone believes that Obama likes to execute
long-range strategies but suffers from cognitive dissonance when new
facts render them inappropriate. His 2008 campaign was a largely
flawless execution of a smart strategy, but he was flummoxed momentarily
when the Russians invaded Georgia and when John McCain picked Sarah
Palin as his running mate. On domestic policy, he has been executing his
long-range strategy of vastly expanding government, but may be
encountering problems as voters show unease at huge increases in
spending.
5. Lamenting his first teenage
cigarette, President Barack Obama ruefully admitted on Monday that he's
spent his adult life fighting the habit. Then he signed the nation's
toughest anti-smoking law, aiming to keep thousands of other teens from
getting hooked.
6. Family members of the victims of
the Sept. 11 attacks say they have been blindsided by the Obama's
opposition to their lawsuit seeking damages from top members of the
Saudi Arabian government over suspected financial links to the 9/11
attackers. |
6/24/09 |
1. Leo Donofrio
believes that World Net Daily White House Correspondent Les Kinsolving
recently had the chance to ask Obama’s Press Secretary Gibbs a question
about the eligibility issue and he fumbled at the golden goal.
2. Michael Barone
says there is a tendency for newly installed presidents, like
adolescents suddenly liberated from adult supervision, to do the exact
opposite of what their predecessors did. Presidents of both parties
indulge in this behavior, though Democrats who campaign as candidates of
hope and change are more likely to do so.
3. An Arizona orthopedic surgeon testified in Congress on Tuesday that Obama's claim that 46 million Americans don’t have health
insurance is not accurate because it does not reflect exactly who those
people are and why they are "uninsured."
4. Powerline blog's John
Hinderaker reports that in his press conference today, Obama
talked about the cap-and-trade energy tax that the Democrats are trying
to ram through Congress. Obama's nose grew a couple of inches as he
uttered this howler:
5.
Lawyers for President Obama are quietly drafting first-of-their kind
guidelines barring workplace discrimination against transgender federal
employees, officials said Tuesday. |
6/25/09 |
1.
As the Iranian
government’s murderous repression of the Iranian people continues,
critics right and left agitate over the deafening silence of Obama, who,
as a candidate, derided the Bush administration’s ambitious democracy
promotion as too timid. They speculate as to why Barack Obama
won’t speak out: Why won’t he condemn the mullahs? Is he
daft enough to believe he can charm the regime into abandoning its
nuclear ambitions? Does the self-described realist so prize
stability that he thinks it’s worth abandoning the cause of freedom --
and the best chance in 30 years of dislodging an implacable American
enemy?
2.
Arab foreign ministers vowed on Wednesday to support Barack Obama's
Middle East peace efforts but said that normalization with Israel
depends on a halt to its settlement activity.
3.
The Arab League said on Wednesday it saw a "window of hope" for
Middle East peace and Arab states would respond positively to Barack
Obama's vision for resolving the Arab-Israeli conflict.
4. If only Obama were a
third as tough on Iran and North Korea as he is on Republicans, he’d be
making progress in containing the dire threats to our national security
these rogue nations represent. As it is, the president is letting the
perception of weakness cloud his image. Once that particular miasma
enshrouds a presidency, it is hard to dissipate.
5. Had Americans
been able to stop obsessing over the color of Barack Obama's skin and
instead paid more attention to his cultural identity, maybe he would not
be in the White House today. The key to understanding him lies with his

the campaign trail while adopting the policy that Obama most demonized
as a candidate, George Bush.

that, if enacted, would touch every part of the US economy. Both House
and Senate have drafted far-reaching healthcare bills, with stunning
price tags.
