  • Cisco Aironet AP34x External Antenna Modification Procedure - add RF connectors to a very robust Access Point. Very simple modification
  • SMC-2632 802.11 PCMCIA external antenna modification. Add a SMA connector to your SMC-2632 transciever.
  • DWL-650 External Antenna Mod Will Rachelson, a participant of Seattlewireless, documented a method to add a coax pigtail to the dwl-650 PCMCIA 802.11 transceiver.
  • Compaq WL100 External Antenna Mod and removal of diversity, by Paul Marsh, a participant of FRARS group in the UK. Minimal instructions, but enough to get the job done.
  • AT&T/NCR Wavelan 2Mbps/10Mbps Wireless Ethernet Interface. We are using some of the DEC RoamAbout PCMCIA units.
  • Add a SMC Female RF connector to your wavelan transceiver module.
  • OpenAP Project - A how-to on squeezing Linux into Access Points that utilize the Eumitcom WL11000SA-N board. The following access points: US Robotics (USR2450), SMC EZconnect(2652W), Addtron(AWS-100) can be converted.
  • The Slovienen design of BPSK transceivers shall appear here shortly.  I have entered most of this into schematic capture software (working from electronically scanned pencil drawings.)  I have also started to convert the 2.3Ghz design from all discreet components into a design that will utilize the RF Monolithic chipset for various portions of the design.

    Another design by Brian Oblivion and Cpt. Kaboom, much easier to construct than the 6 dBi antenna.
  • 6 dBi Omni-directional Antenna Plans
    This is a design that Brian Oblivion and Cpt. Kaboom conjoured for external 2.4Ghz 802.11 Access Points or STAs.
  • Discone An interesting discone design, very similiar to the Ramsey Electronics 2.4Ghz discone kit. Radiation pattern is no better than a common dipole.
  • Sectored Patch Antenna Good, solid construction of a Sector/Panel type mast mounted antenna.
  • Helical directional Antenna Plans This antenna is most efficient when used with other circularly polarized antennae. Expect a 3dB loss when using in conjunction with a vertically or horizontally polarized antenna.
